I received a rechargeable Magic Mouse with my iMac and I am wondering if it will charge in the USB slot if the computer is sleeping?

Thanks for finding this information for me, I will save it for future reference. Just before I read your reply it occurred to me to try plugging in an iPhone and observing the power indicator. It proved that, yes the USB 3 ports on my iMac are powered during sleep but not if the iMac is shut down.
